From October 23, 2010 to December 26, 2010, there were about 10,000 deaths from cholera and about 350,000 other cases. Also around this time, the treatment for all the victims of cholera in Haiti costed about $174 million, but Haiti only received $44 million.
The overall health of citizens of Haiti is poor. Almost all of the population suffers from something, whether it be malnutrition, HIV, cholera, or thirst. On the bright side, 54% of the population is now using an improved water source, and 30% of the population is now using improved sanitation.
